This is the first blog post for 2015 (Yes, I am a lazy blogger).
It is a snowy Saturday morning, about 6 inches of the white stuff on the ground. Temperatures registering in the 30s F and practically no winds making it a perfect time for a photographic adventure.
I picked the Boston common, particularly because it so epitomizes Boston and ties the experience for me each time I have visited, whether for a shoot or to simply listen to the trees. While there were some people, joggers, dog walkers, snow cleaning crew and some others rushing to work, coffee in hand, it was a relatively quiet Saturday in the park.
I walk leisurely around the common, as leisurely as one can given the equipment I was carrying and more the thoughts I carried in my head.
I mostly used a tripod since I had to hold an umbrella to cover the lens. Most shots were ISO 100 at f8, so tripod helped.
My particular favorite is the one which the teenagers making the snowman were warming each others hands.
PS: Wish - next time I would love to have a model or two to add interest and intrigue.
